I signed up to be a volunteer at a Pit Bull rescue!
I found a great Pittie rescue in the Chicagoland area that is in need of volunteers so I submitted a volunteer form! I hope I hear back from them. It would be nice to volunteer my time in between looking for jobs.

Denise that is great!!!! Do they just rescue pit bull's? I know there was a great rescue that we wanted to get involved with before taking orders back here. I think it was The Animal House Shelter or something like that.....

Congrats! I hope you get the position!
I've always wanted to work at a rescue or a shelter but alas, I'm still too young!

Kim, yes, they only rescue Pitties from what I understand.
Milli, your day will soon come when you can volunteer. It is too bad they don't allow young people to participate.

That's a great thing to do! I've always wanted to volunteer at the Humane Society around here...
Make sure to remember to let us know if you hear back from them!!

I guess it'll be hard for you to refrain from taking all the dogs home!

That's really cool ... so are you just going to volunteer at the rescue or are you going to foster too?

That's awesome Denise!!!!! Let us know how it is! My dream is to one day, if we can afford it for me to become a qualified dog trainer and work for the RSPCA voluntarily and train the rescues they have there to make their re-homing easier.
