Imminent Signs for Whelping in Pugs

This is my first litter of pugs. I am a horse breeder and know the signs of foaling. I was wondering what were the signs of whelping for pugs. Can anyone tell me what to look for. I know the gestation is between 58-63 days but is there signs regarding utters, vaginal looseness, etc.

Never had a dog have a litter here....mine are all spayed and neutered...however, at work I've heard the vet say you should take the temperature of your dog everyday at the same time. When mom's temp falls below 100 degrees (normal is around 101.5), birth should happen within 24 hours.

I wouldn't. If you have the approx due date, wait another week. Make sure you have a private, cozy whelping box for her ready. Do a search online for ideas and designs.
