It's official!!
Took Jersey in for her annual checkup and shots today, had a good talk with the vet, she's perfectly healthy, just not real bright!! We had been wondering if she had vision problems because she often bangs into walls etc., but the vet checked her out completely, and she has no vision, spatial problems etc. She was also just CRAZY at the vets too! Running around, sniffing, jumping up and licking the vet's face (she never kisses anyone but us like that!) The vet asked if she was related to 3 other dogs in town (all her brothers!!) and said that the other dogs are all very hyper and not real smart either. For some reason, hearing that my little goofus is just a little slow makes me love her even more!! My hubby thinks it's because I know she needs me more, and she'll probably always stay my goofy "baby", all 60 lbs of her!!

She is adorable! Is the elephant that she picked out a stuffed animal?? That would be awesome if we got free toys at the vet for the dogs...lol! At least it would make the dogs like the vets more...haha...our dogs wont even eat the treats at the vet...they must be a yucky flavor or something...haha...

That's cute!! I'm glad everythings A OK!! Kaiya does the same thing . . . but it's just because she doesn't pay enough attention! Like If we're walking and we see another dog she'll start prancing and showing off . . . and she actually tripped over something the other day and skinned her chin!! What a dork!!

Ellie is a very tightly wound rope elephant, that was unfortunately not free($12 for a toy that after 24 hrs has no ears, tail and only 3 remaining legs!!)! Jersey just yanked her off the shelf, and she looked so darn cute I had to buy it for her. This is why my sister and sister in law don't like me shopping with their kids...they tend to come home spoiled and hopped up on sugar!!
And yes, we're VERY relieved to hear she's great healthwise! i'm very melodramatic and kept saying "Oh my God, what if it's a tumor?!" I was driving hubby nuts! We have NO problems at all with her not being the brightest, as a matter of fact, my in laws used to have a dog named Earl that was as dumb as dirt and i loved him to pieces! (RIP Earl 2001)
