Max's latest (I layer commands starting easy then layering harder behaviors on top) trick makes me laugh so hard because I can't believe he does it SO well...
I give him the command *wait* - he will not take the treat unless he hears a verbal *OK* - I can say in the exact same tone - bouquet, Jack, mommy, DADDY (I vary and say all kinds of words, syllables, and I am starting on numbers - there is a method to my madness!) Unless I say *OK* He will NOT take the treat from my hand.
Tonight I was dyin' laughing- I was trying to get him to take it with non-verbal gestures and nods- nope!-
It's time to add the next layer! Getting Max to count!!
