Hey y'all !

What are some good doggy safe foods to stuff their kongs with? Looking for foods that will be gently on my yorkie pups tummy! I heard that freezing them after you stuff them is good too for teething pups and makes it a bit more of a challenge for the pups to get the goodies out! Just looking for some ideas of what you all do

A couple things we do here:

1) Layer with their regular kibble, and a thin line of PB. Repeat until full and the PB is the last layer to close the end. Freeze.

2) Plug the smallest hole with PB, fill with cold chicken broth. Freeze.

3) Plug smallest hole with PB, fill with cooked rice and green beans, plug larger end with PB. Freeze.

I think these are great suggestions. I'll have to try them with Elvis Lee.

Another good thing for a teething puppy is to take a washcloth, wet it down, roll it up & Freeze. Puppies love to chew & this homemade chewybone type thing will soothe sore gums.

We did that for allie, she loved it..

As for filling Her Kong, We get a bag of dogfood called Dinner rounds, i think its be ol roy, or something like that. we get the smallest bag they have and use them as treats, there big soft pieces of kibble that Allie absalutly loves, but i couldnt imagine feeding those to her as a regular dog food. about 3 or 4 fit into her puppy kong, if you really push them in. it takes her awhile to get them out too.

be careful with that food it has alot of salt in it which is really bad for your doggy.

I often use regular biscuits but they don't keep them busy as long so sometimes I freeze peanut butter or plain yogurt. I use organic peanut butter and yogurt with no sugar added or anything .
