Little girl we're hoping to adopt...
Hey all.. I don't know if this is going to happen.. but this is a picture of a little 6lb maltese that is at a nearby shelter.. they just got her in and said she wouldnt be available to even visit till this weekend..
We still have to be accepted also...
but hopefully things work out, we both want another maltese, we were totally set on buying a new baby girl, about 5lb adult weight..
but then we saw this little girl.. poor thing had to be shaved though because her hair was badly matted when they got her.

Dunno what I love more - them eyes or them ears ! She looks just precious ! I'm used to seeing shaved down Maltese, that's how we keep them where I work (not quite as extreme as her tho).
Any reason why you prefer the maltese breed ? Just curious.

well... the only reason we prefer the maltese is just cuz we have one now... we love her to death... she has tons of personality.. and is just a really fun dog.. my wife of course loves the all white coat too... I'm still not sure what is going to happen with her..
I spoke to the people at the place...they know we are interested.. I think they know we'd be pretty good parents too.. I hope... we will see..

:  : ... well folks.. we've been writing back and fourth to the ladies that run the center.. today though when I went online her picture is gone.. so.. I guess she got another family...
I wasn't really suprised, I can't imagine it would be hard to find a home for a 6lb female maltese.
Anyway.. as of today we are starting our search for a new female Maltese puppy..
