gentle giants' is on a distinguished road
Hi Melissa, The hives are terrible. Glad Max is doing better. I think you're right ... it's not bee's ....Maybe he is alergic to something inside... a new toy or a new bone... or a delayed reaction to shots or something. what did your vet say about that as a possiblity? Max is such a great puppy.. I hope he's over it. How about Harlie- has she ever had hives again?

No mom, Har hasnt gotten them ever since when she got them once when she was a puppy. And Darla (vet) said that it wouldnt be a reaction to the shots, because he got the allergy shot with his boosters so he wouldnt have a reaction.

Apparently, boxers are more sensitive to certain insect bites including spiders. A girl on my site just recently had a similar scare. I'm glad that Max is doing better. They shouldn't come back unless he is bit again.

Not only bug bites, but Boxers have a high chance to have allergies, so it might be something he got into also, like a weed or something that he was allergic to. Most bug bites cause hives too, and we immediatley give them Benedryl, but this time was worse, and lasted 2 days, so we really have no clue what caused it. But they are gone now, and thats good!
