Mirra the escape artist - Paw Talk

Jeff decided to go fishing for a couple hours while I was still at work. He put Mirra in her crate and left. When he got back he was greeted at the door by a very happy, tail wagging Mirra.......and a shredded book, chewed up tv remote, chewed up fly swatter, shredded newpapers and mail, and a piece of firewood turned into toothpicks scattered all over the living room.

It's not too big of a deal except that a new remote for the dish receiver will cost about $100. The part that holds the batteries is destroyed and it's missing the number 5. I told Jeff no worries. We'll duct tape the batteries in and I'll find the number 5 when Mirra goes out to potty in the morning. He didn't think it was nearly as funny as I did.

LOL! I bet Jeff didnt think that was funny...Josh wouldnt have either...Men and their electronics! Haha...it is funny to us girls though! Sounds like Mirra had quite a day!

All of that destruction occurred in less than 2 hours. I can just imagine her running around "What can I get into next?"

Mirra had a very busy 2 hours. lol Remotes are toooo expensive! Wowsa.

LOL, that happend with Rocky once! Apparently the crate was disfunctional and he got out easily and destroyed my room. I swear, he must've just run around looking for more things to destroy...

Sophie escaped once too, but she was a good puppy, and didn't do anything. We came home to find her asleep on the couch

Rhonda, how did she escape? That is a big fear I have! I imagine Logan getting out of his crate and totally destroying the house or worse yet, ingesting something and getting sick. Those Bully breeds are sneaky little buggars.

Silly Mirra! We've replaced remotes and are still missing the back off of one thanks to Lacey!

She knows that Jeff doesn't always shut the door of the crate properly and if she throws herself against it just right it will pop open. We usually crate her when we eat dinner (or else she'll jump up in our laps!) and she's done it then.....so I knew it was a matter of time before Jeff forgot to double check to make sure the door was closed correctly. We're just lucky it happened when he went to the store instead of it being an all day rampage!
