Question

my chi is scared

I just bought a 7 month old chi and she is so skiddish. she is afraid to eat around us or sleep by herself she is so afraid that we are going to leave..We have another 4 month old chi male and we have had him since he was 7 weeks and he is nothing like that. When I bought her she seemed fine around the lady she is well behaved she listens but she is afraid of everything im starting to think someone was mean to her. Any help??? Do you think she will come out of it???? any advice would be appreciated.

Some dogs are are just skittish and some really have been abused, either way your dog will need a lot of coaxing and love from you to help her change her behavior. Try checking with your local pet stores (Petsmart/Petco) or craigslist/local ads for a training class to make sure she gets some socialization. A qualified trainer will be able to teach you some techniques to help her get over her axiety. (Did I spell that correctly...?)

You need to work on socializing him too and building his confidence over things you think he afraid. Starts with taking him to the dog park where he could me dogs and dog owners.
