My sister found a dog!

I'm somewhat new to this board, and I mainly post in the Cats forum, so, this is the first post in Dogs...

My sister found a stray who looks like a brown version of my RB Thunder puppy. He is part Chow-Chow. He has heartworms. He's only about three, and his case isn't bad, so his chances are good. He's such a sweetie. He only likes me and my sister right now. Poor guy... it's very obvious that he's been abused a lot. But he's taking a liking to me and my sister. I'm glad my sister found him... he's getting a lot of love.
If you would, pray for him to be okay through his heartworm treatment.

He's doing pretty well. He hasn't gone for his treatment yet, but it's coming up soon. I don't have any pictures of him yet, but my sister does, and I can get them from her. She has named him Bear. He's grown quite accustomed of everyone around here, but he still won't go near my grandpa! He also won't go near the friend living with my sister and her hubby. But I don't blame him for that! (I plead the fifth!)

It's so nice to see him happy. When I first saw him, he was so terrified of people, that they'd hit him or something, but he's so happy now. He wags his tail all the time, plays, begs for loving (although the begging isn't needed!!!), and he loves catching lizards. (YUCK!) But, he can't get too excited because of his condition. I worry because that's the way we lost our other puppy... but he's young and doesn't have a bad case... my other puppy was 13 and had it pretty seriously. I think he'll be okay.

My sister's two male (Well... one's an it... long story) cats are so upset they're having kittens! LOL! They just stare out the window with ears pinned back growling as they see Bear on THEIR porch!LOL! Hee hee hee!

Well, My sissy is having some financial troubles, and it doesn't look like she can afford it, but there's a vet around here that takes in the animals, treats them, and finds homes... she's looking into that to see if they'll take him in... please say some more prayers for this sweet little puppy.
