I would say willow is a female's name, never really thought about it being a male's name before

I think it could go either way. I have a friend that does equine rescue and she had a male horse named willow. He was a beautiful red color.

Oh pooo- I like that name, was thinking about it for a male puppy.
Buck or Basil I was also thinking about- now both those names are in the boy side of the baby book.
Misty sounds very femine to me too.

It looks like I'm out numbered here. I thought of male first because of the movie WILLOW. That was the guys name in the movie and well he is a "boy".

Than I won't rule out that name- because after all , if they named a boy that in a movie~ it's just got to go ether way then.

I'm pretty open minded about the name Willow. It could go either way but Buffy the Vampire Slayer made it very feminine for a few years.
I agree for a dog it can fit a boy just fine.
