Name suggestion thread for our new baby
I am looking for a strong, masculine name for our puppy. The gals on Pets on the Net came up with really good ones but my dh is giving me a very hard time with this whole thing. Here are the names he has agreed he likes...
Thor
Loki
Nitro
Maverick
Dante
He loves Greek mythology and told me to come up with some names so I did. The buggar only liked Thor!! I don't want a name with a negative conotation like Magnum (even though Dave would say it sounds like a condom). He is really making this difficult! I really like the name Apollo but he didn't like it!

Natalie, I am going to buy you a pet so you can name it Riku!
Hmm, Donovan and Kunai don't do anything for me.

Denise have you tried looking through one of those name your baby sites on-line? Sometimes I get great ideas from those. When we wanted to name Loki we started there, then we ended up seeing a pattern that most of the names we liked for a male rottweiler mix were the names of pagan gods! LOL So we looked through Greek, Norse, and Egyptian gods.
Loki was actually my second pick of a name, Tyr was my favorite. Tyr was the God of War and Justice hahaha not fitting for Loki, I think Loki fits him better... In Norse mythology, Loki was a giant. Loki is best known as a trickster god, possibly responsible for Balder's death. He was the adopted brother of Odin, and was bound to a rock until Ragnarok.
Here is a nice site to check out...

Logan is a good name.
I"ve always been rather fond of that name for hte way it sounded. Although, the only kid I knew by it I was not fond of but at least it hasn't spoiled me yet.

He he, I was going to suggest Nick. I think it was the movie "Say Anything" I know it was John Cusack that said it. Something along the lines of Nick being a good strong name, a real man's name. LOL that was the first thing that popped into my head.

Thank you! I am glad we could agree on a name too. Dave was turning down everything I suggested.
