Need good toys!

Okay I have two pit bulls. One could really care less but the other one loves toys. The only problem is she has a thing for pulling out stuffing and destroys stuffed toys in less than a minute. She is also a little bit of a chewer and goes through gumma bones with in a day. The problem with those is that they break into little chunks and a lot of them I have to constantly clean up and watch them like a hawk. I do not want to give the hard nylabones or galileo bones. Does anyone know of any good toys home made or store bought that my dogs could play with for more than one day before they destroy it. It is getting very expensive. I have a super kong that they don't find that interesting and lots of rope toys. I am going to get some kong rhino bones but isn't there any thing that they might like to play with like a super strong tennis ball maybe?

Thanks Jade but unfortunately my dogs would eat those. *sigh* my husband insists I don't feed our dogs. I need something that can withstand consumption for at least 48 hours. lol

I have had experience with picking out STRONG doggie toys. Kongs are great but even better if you put a piece of treat in the opening in the bottom. Also, if you can find them, there are some large dog toys that you can actually put treats in. It's supposedly an interactive toy, where the dog has to roll the ball a certain way to get the treat. I will try to find a picture. The balls are so big and made of hard plastic, I doubt that they would be chewed. Hope this helps.

I have always given my dogs the nylabones when they are teething. They seem to love them and they last longer. My choc lab now loves to chew small blocks of wood... ugh what a mess. As long as he is not eating rocks though I am ok.

Your dogs eat rocks to!? Mine chew them like bubble gum and then spit them out.

Thanks for your help everyone. I have looked at the puzzle balls and cubes but most of them are too "soft". I have found some stuff so if anyone has a determined chewer LOL! I was really hoping to find and indestructible stuffed toy but unless they are made of steel *sigh*.

Yep... my lab and my husky will both eat rocks if they get bored. Of course, since relocating to Georgia boredom is not an issue for them. They have plenty of sticks to chew and fetch from the trees. Not to mention all four dogs have a new hobby of chasing squirrels (which are too fast for them) and digging up moles.

My dogs are nasty with toys. They love them, but anything soft rubber/plastic, they'll chew apart. Anything cloth or fabric, it'll be shredded in a matter of seconds.

I've finally stuck with the simple stuff... balls and rope bones for outside... for inside, those Kong rubber dog toys. I got one of those large "indestructible" bones, its made out of some kind of hard plastic, at a yard sale. I haven' t seen them for sale at a store, but my dogs love it. I often find myself grabbing random things from 25 cent bins at yard sales, just because theres no way I'm paying 6-10 bucks for a toy I know they will just destroy. My dogs will turn a nylabone into a pile of chewed up bits in a matter of about an hour.
