Hi all, I'm new to the forums and I had a question about my new little baby. I took her to the vet about a month ago for her first set of puppy shots. When the vet was giving her a routine exam he said that she had an "unusual underbite" and that Boxers aren't supposed to have them. He also said she's going to need frequent dentals. Now, I used to work at a veterinary office so I know a fairly good amount about dogs. One thing I know is that
bully breeds are bred to have an underbite. Am I incorrect? Also, all dogs need dentals, but just because she has an underbite does that REALLY mean she is going to need a whole lot more than a dog with a normal bite?
I am asking because I want to make sure I'm getting my little baby excellent care and if the vet I'm taking her to doesn't know something as little as that, am I going to have problems in the future? I'm also asking because I'm on a tight budget as it is, and I can't afford to be paying an extra $300 for dentals that aren't needed.
Any help that anyone can give is greatly appreciated.
