I can really empathize! We just got another pup like 2 weeks ago. The pup cried every night...ALL night for a week. I was trying Kong training and he wasn't taking to it. Finally one night he got the idea and shut up. My husband and I got in to it at 4 am about the pup and it's crying. He told me to take it back (and later apologized in the morning when he was actually awake lol). What I did was ignore the pup all day for a couple of days, meaning no petting or affection, strictly business (food, bathroom, etc). The pup really bonded to my other pup, Harvey. I think that helped. Now he's been quiet all night for a week. Can she sleep with the other dogs yet? If she's old enough you could try crating her with a Kong or nylabone type thing. My pups sleep in the kitchen every night and I try to put them there at the same time every night so they know what's going on. I was really close to pulling out my hair with this newer pup. He wouldn't stop squealing and we live in a townhouse... our neighbors are cry babies about noise too :-S Ask your hubby to give the pup a little more time. Some dogs don't learn as fast as others. Harvey seems to be a lot quicker learner than my new pup, Rusty.
