Yay - I'm glad you got the OK to take her outside. She should get the hang of "potty training" rather quickly with crate training.
If she has been used to the paper up to this point - I wouldn't remove it right away.
This may seem like a daunting process - but it's really a matter of patience ...
Move the paper slowly to the door.... and when you take her outside - bring a piece of the soiled paper with you. She will associate the grass and outside sights and smells quicker with the incentive of "her" scent on the paper that she is used to going on.
Since you are crating - you are creating an environment for success. When she is running free in the area you allow her to play in - create more success by not removing the paper all at once...
Since you are on the second floor it may be hard to run her outside frequently. Do you confine her in a "Safe space"?
Her crate can be placed in this area and the door left opened. She'll get used to going in and out of the crate on her own and she'll most likely choose the crate as her "nap place".
Good Luck! She is a gorgeous pup - I just adore that breed!!
