oh my godddd

Spot got ran over. I don't know what to do or how to cope. This is very childish of me but I don't know how to handle this. I know he is a dog but this feels just like when my mother was killed. We had to put him down. There was blood coming out of almost every hole in his body. He still walked over to Kevin despite the pain... God he was the best I don't know what to do.

Oh my goodness, I'm sorry about Spot. Things happen that we wish never happened... but you did what you could for Spot and he had a great life with you. Obviously made his last effort to be with his family. He still knows and feels your love from his place at the Rainbow Bridge.

Rest in peace, Spot.

That's not childish at all. I can't imagine how hard that must have been to see. There was nothing else you could have done and I'm sure if he could talk, he would tell you how much he loves you and how thankful he is for having had a good life. I'm so so sorry for your loss.

That is a very traumatic thing to witness. Take time to grieve, heal and remember all the wonderful times you shared with your dog Spot. I am so sorry for your loss.

I can't imagine that you'd be overreacting... an animal is family and it does feel horrible.

I'm so sorry. It isn't childish at all to grieve for someone you love. Allow yourself whatever feelings you experience and know that we're here to support you if you need anything.

About 8 years ago my mother died and about a month after my dog Pinky got run over by a car. It was my fault totally, the dog usually never left my side, she had never once left the yard the whole 10 years I had her, she was the most eager to please loving animal ever. I was working in the garden for about an hour and then went into the house and thought hey wheres Pinky? So I walked up and down the street calling her name and my across the street neighbour came out and said I have to tell you something....
She runover in the driveway of a neighbour, don't know who did it. But I broke down in the middle of the street, I was so grief stricken and I truly dont think I grieved as hard for my mother for some reason, maybe cuz I saw it coming, I dont know but dont feel guilty(dont know why im saying that cuz I cant help but feel guilty) your dog or your mother wouldnt want that, they loved you.
