People foods that are toxic to dogs!
http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/24544541/?GT1=43001
This article has a list of common people foods that can hurt your dog. I didn't know about avacados and walnuts! Yipe. Good thing those aren't my favorite foods... I don't keep them in the house usually hehe.

Whoa, I didn't know about the onions. I had to throw some out in the woods a week or two ago and one of my dogs followed me and sniffed the bowl while I was walking. I told her she wouldn't want any of those.. and I guess I didn't realize the extent of just how much she wouldn't want any. I hope she stayed out of them.

I knew macadamia nuts were bad, didnt know why but heard they were bad, I didnt know about walnuts! we have never given any to our dogs, but if one fell on the floor i dont think i would have thought to pick it up!
It says 'Nuts' and then says 'Walnuts and macadamia nuts are especially toxic' So does that mean all nuts are bad??? what about peanuts/ peanut butter?? we give our dogs peanut butter all the time

I've read that peanuts aren't really bad. The dog just doesn't digest them. Peanut butter is fine to my knowledge.

Thanks a lot for this post, it's really useful. By the way my Turkish Kangal dogs ate lots of walnuts but nothing happened. Also they ate onions and some other foods in that list. So we can say that you can not poison your dog easily if it is Turkish Kangal.. LOL..

my pops dog used to eat the walnuts that fell and instead of living along life it had many health issues, the vet told my pop it could be the walnuts because they have a long term effect...thank you for the list, it really does help, and I printed it all out with some others I found and they are on the fridge, just to make sure little hands don't forget and feed them

Especially if you have small dogs, small doses of those food can really hurt them. It's really dependent on body weight though. I wouldn't pump the dog's stomach if he has a walnut though. It's only if they have a lot of them. Some of the foods are more toxic than others.

Wow my pups must have little tummies of steal. They once ate 2 packages (3 boxes in each) of brandy, chocolate covered coffee beans and never once throw up and that was like 3 years ago...
I guess we're just lucky with 'em

One time my first dachshund, Louie (he's on my avatar) ate a box of chocolate coated digestive crackers or w/e that my auntie brought back from England. Another time he ripped open my present to my mother (which was chocolates) from under the Christmas tree and ate some of them! He lived to tell the tale, but chocolate is very toxic to dog. I have noticed some can tolerate it better than others though.
