Question

Poodle colors?

Does anyone know if Toy poodles get grey or other coloring in their fur as they get older? I have had poodles for 6 years now, and my 2 and 1/2 year old looks like he is getting faint red color in certain spots-like under his belly and legs. I just never had a dog that faded their color. -I trim him regularly and he is in good health. He is a black poodle but his mom was a lighter black and his dad is a red poodle-I figure it could be some red from the dad coming through-
Hopefullly someone can clear my confusion up for me THANKS!
