Rebel had to go to the vet today
Well, last night around 9 or so I noticed him limping around, something was wrong with his left hind leg. He didn't act like it hurt too much but he wasn't playing that much and he was depressed a bit. I took him to the vet this mornig as he was limping pretty bad this morning and she told me that she could feel a little bit of a hanging on his left hip, perhaps some cartilage had broke loose. She said you can feel it better than you can see it on an x-ray so she told me to give him metacam and see how he did in about four days. If no better then we will take some x-rays and see. This morning at the vet and at this moment, I'm at work til 12 noon, he hasn't limped on it but a couple of times. Kinda like when your car is making a noise but when you take it in it stops, lol! So, wish us luck that it's nothing serious as I would do anything for my pets, just hoping he doesn't need anything too much as I just moved out and am trying to get my finances settled after all the deposits and such. Thanks everyone!

Aww, poor boy! Give him lots of snuggles for me!
Did she talk to you about perhaps back pain? Usually when we see a dachshund come in limping, that's the case. I was just wondering if that's why she's treating first with pain meds rather than x-ray. Sorry, the medical portion of me ... just ignore me.

Thanks so much for everything you guys! Rebel thanks you too, oh, I I gave him cuddles for you Jackie, Jade, and everyone else haha! Jade, she didn't say anything about it to me. Makes me wonder though. I gave him the metacam today and he still seems really depressed. Like he just wants to sit in my lap, which is normal, but he would at least take breaks to run and play with Claire. Needless to say, she's bored lol, just not the same only playing with me anymore! lol I will see how he is tomorrow and see if he seems better. Thanks again everyone!

Yeah, he's not limping, but he's not bearing full weight on the leg. I will pay what it takes, just hope I don't have to, lol!

He's seems to be fine and back to normal. I am glad of that, I really hope it isn't something in there that's still wrong though and him just being a tough little guy, lol!
