Ricky is adopted! - Paw Talk

Ricky is adopted to his new home.He will be going to BC tommorrow morning!

I am happy that he is adopted.He now has a forever home.Also he wasn't really fitting in here.My lifestyle doesn't match up with Ricky.He is hyper and hates to be alone.I often go out and he hates it and becomes destructive.Even in his crate,he will poop if I leave him alone.I crate him overnight and he is fine.It is only when I leave.He is the total opposite of Bambi.

Ricky went for vaccinations tonight and when they brought him back,he was excited to come back "home".It made me feel bad,because I can't wait for him to go to his new home and here he is excited to come back to me.

Anyway it is greyt that he is going to his new and forever home.

You are good luck for these little doggies lol they come to you and learn happiness and then find families

Me and Ricky are still waiting.I thought his flight was at 11am,but it isn't.I am just waiting to hear back now from the rescue to see when the flight is.

Hope it all works out!!

BTW- Love the greyhound picture.. Beautiful dogs arent they? I had one as a child until my mom died of cancer..

Ricky is at my feet right now.

Thanks.Thats my Chelsea girl...over the bridge now.Poor girl.I miss her so much.She was my love.They are truly a wonderful breed.

Just curious tho,when did you have a greyhound??? The very first greyhound was brought to the province in 1998.So I am just curious about that.I was friends with the woman who had him,unfortunatly she passed away in 2006.And Darcy the dog passed away November 2007.He was what got greyhound rescue started here in Newfoundland.He was a wonderful dog as well!

We didnt live here at the time...we lived in BC and me and my dad moved back here when my mom died and he said we couldnt take Rocky with us. so we came back and left him there. I didnt speak to my dad for like a month

Yup,Darcy has started the rescue here,back in 1998.A woman by the name of Patt Cowan adopted him.I befriended Patt when I first got involved with the rescue and we became good friends.

Turns out he is flying tommorrow morning instead.The flight couldn't be booked any earlier.

Ricky is gone.He is on the flight now to BC!!

Because it is beautiful out! Sunny and warm and because Chloe is in daycare,I decided to take Bambi on a nice long walk.I couldn't go on long walks with Ricky,because he was so bad on leash.I could go on short walks,before he was tangled in me,Bambi,Chloe,trees and everything! Anyway so me and Bambi went on a nice long walk downtown.

But because it is so warm,the snow is melting and it is wet and muddy and Bambi got so dirty! It will be bath time later.She is now passed out in her bed!
