Those are some beautiful danes!!I love the breed as well.
YAY!You will finally get a puppy in abit.I think Duke is a wonderful name for a dane.It just suits them.
I have met a few danes,but they are not common in Newfoundland.There is a lady here with 2 danes...a HUGE black boy named Moses,man...his paws are HUGE!And she has a smaller white with a tiny bit of black female named Stella... Haha...I guess thats a common name for danes too??? She is not nearly as big as Moses tho.Both have natural ears.
There is also a man here with a rottie and a dane.The dane is a harliquin with natural ears and the prettiest blue eyes.I cannot remeber her name.
Those are the only danes I have met in person,Moses is the biggest one ever.I have a couple of pics here of him...if you wanna see them!!

How funny, another Stella - Stella is the name of my cousin's neighbor's dane, and also the name of the mother of another dane I've met. I had no idea when I named her! |

So here is Moses.He is such a big sweetie!I do not have a pic of Stella,because on this day the woman only had Moses,but a few days later I met her again and she had both of her danes...but of course,I had no camera with me... The only pic I have of the harlequin dane is one from a 35mm camera and I have no scanner.So you can enjoy these of Moses!Moses is almost 1 yr,if I remember correctly.Oh and his owner is a tiny woman,she looks sooo tiny compared to him!
