Awwww she is beautiful!!!! I know, it seems like just yesterday you were getting her and she was a little puppy!!! Hard to believe she is 1 already!

Yeah I hated to see him go, I miss him still. I miss Niki too! I put a pic in the previous post. I would love to have a longhair and a wirehair one day.

Oh and my dad has three girls, two that are intact, one that just had the pups who we were told was not intact, now we know, not that it's a bad thing b/c she is a wonderful dachshund, just surprising is all since we have had her for almost three years!!! He also has five males all are intact except for two of them I believe. He loves to take them out in the woods to play hunt I guess you would call it. He thinks it is extremely important that a dog learn and keep the skills that it was bred for. He wishes he was younger so he could do lots more things with them like earthdog trials. In the past he has only liked to have one litter per year if that with other doxies we have had, but this year he will have two litters. Since Lex surprised us, lol!

I wanted to share a picture of my very first dachshund lady! I was only about 6 or so when I got her, she was the love of my life! I still miss her of course, her name was Amy! Not the best picture but the best one I have, I wish I had taken more pics when I was little, lol!

Thanks masterjack! Funny you say that, my friend calls her a speckled dog, not a dachshund, lol, kinda along the lines of freckles. On top of her head is really cute! I just love her little freckles!

Yes, we will spoil you, I love pics! I am glad to have so many doxie lovers here too and pet lovers in general! Niki is a special smart lady, I love her eye too, it's so neat to me.

Another pic lol! This is another of my dads dogs! He is one that is neutered, one of my father's favorites. This dog is about 9 years old now, had him since he was born. When he was really young he got into a fight and lost his eye, the vet fixed him up and now, years later, he is still a happy, great little doxie man! Just wanted to share his cute pic! lol



I hope I am not driving everyone sick with all these pictures, I am just so happy I got a place to host them from so I can show them off, been hoarding them for too long, lol.

Thanks! The doxie, Link, lol he is getting to be an ol' man, lol. Nah, he has lots of life still in him! I couldn't help but giggle at him with his tounge sticking out that way! lol

OMG! I love when you post pics...

And don't Doxies love sleeping in funny positions and in funny places?! Mine did too. Rascal used to paw the sheet in the middle of the night so I can lift it up and he could climb under, then he would get in my arm for me to hug him like a stuffed animal. So he used to sleep in my arm and his nose in my neck and I could hear him breathing. My Dacky (who looks like your Rebel) used to sleep by my legs like Rebel. And Cookie just plopped either on top of the sheets anywhere or with her body under the sheets and her head sticking out. She didn't like to be completely under.

And don't they look so sweet when they sleep? I think it's one of the most beautiful things to witness. Especially when they are all curled up and with their tummies facing up. So cute... thanks so much for sharing, it brought back great memories.

They are so funny and cute when they sleep! Rebel does like to sleep way under the covers, Claire usually does too, now they cuddle together, they are loving each other more and more! Last night they were licking each other under the covers, so cute! lol Claire is especially lovey right after she wakes up, I go to love on her and she just adores it, I rub her face and just give her tons of kisses and she just lays there on her back rolling around being silly and cute! lol

My girl loved that too! Just after she would wake up, she'd roll around the bed on her back for tummy rubs and kisses. Sounds like all Doxies share the same type of sweet personality when waking up. I think that's the time that they are the most loving, right when they wake up. (I miss that, but I love hearing about others and their doxies)

Yeah, they must, Rebel is very sweet allllll the time lol! He is always looking at me, wanting to get in my lap, laying on me, he is very protective of me. He will play with Claire though and run around through the apartment. Claire is very sweet but she doesn't cling to me, she is more independent. She is very loving though, mostly in the early morning and late night, lol! I hope I don't make you sad or feel bad for talking about doxies with ya! I don't want to do that, your so sweet!
