If you haven't yet taken her to the vet Please either take her or giving them a call.... Is it possible that she may have eaten something other than dog intended food (like chocolate?)?.. I also have a dog that has a VERY sensitive stomach... about 4 years ago he somehow got into my valentines chocolate and had very bad diarrhea & vomiting.... We took him to the vet and they had to give him Special prescription food for 2 weeks because he had intestinal damage.... I'm not trying to scare you, but you really need to call/take her to the vet if this could possibly the case. Also anytime a dog has diarrhea it is very important to keep fluids in them... a few good ideas are Pedialyte or Gatorade because both of them have electrolytes in them which helps with hydration (not to sure about chicken broth because of the salt/sodium in it which could cause worse dehydration issues... maybe try to find some low or completely sodium free?). If a dog gets dehydrated it can get worse for them even faster. Also it is not recommended to give a dog Human over the counter meds (pepto, pain meds etc) unless you have been given proper dosages from a Vet before hand or you could make a bad situation even worse... A lot of people do this with dire consequences... Also when you talk with the vet ask them who you can call on the weekend if something like this happens again....I really hope your dog is feeling better soon... she has almost the same name as my daughter her name is Sophia.

This morning she was still not feeling better so we brought her into the vet and she probably just has a stomach bug. Apparently they've been getting in alot of sick dogs lately so something's going around.
The vet gave her a shot that made her feel alot better and she also has some meds and a special food. We're having her tested for parasites too, just in case, though he doesn't think that's what's wrong. She should be fine in a few days .

I'm glad it doesn't look like it's anything major. You have my hopes for a speedy recovery.

So glad that she is okay. It's terrible when they get sick like that! I remember when my cockers had gotten a puppy bug. It was horrible b/c it was well...lets just say coming out both ends. When the first one started getting a little better the second one came down with it. That was a horrible 2 days!!!

Thanks . The meds are making her feel way better and she has no problem taking any of them. The only one that's kind of tricky is the liquid one because we have to get it into her mouth. Tomorrow the vet said we can start just putting it on food, though, so that's good.
She just ate a little of her special food and is doing ok with it so far. I'll let you guys know how she's doing later .
