Please bring her to the vet and get it checked out... one of my dogs gets them every once in a while. The medication that the vet gave us was only about $7....we use it 3 times a day until the growths was gone.

Also I would be very leery putting contact lens solution on my dogs eye without first contacting the vet and making sure it is ok.... that is formulated for humans not dogs... it could cause more damage than good to your dog. It would be better for your dog to just treat the problem, instead of treating the issue you are having in addition to a bigger problem caused by the solution.

our vet said it was ok for contact solution when mine got dirt in his eye, and when the other got a peice of grass seed in it after he took it out he said if it looked like it was bothering him we can use it to make it not itch so he wont scratch his eye.

I'm only chiming in to say that not all contact solutions are the same. Saline is often recommended; other contact solutions have other stuff in them, which I would NOT put in a dog or cats eyes. I had to use saline a lot for my kitties when they were getting eye infections and my vet said it was really important to read the labels to make sure it was just saline.

Of course, even in my case the saline was never dropped in the eye, it was used to moisten cotton balls and clean around the eyes before applying medicated drops. I too wouldn't put anything in my cats' eyes, at least not on the first occurrence, without a vet consult. Now that they've had so many eye infections though, if another one pops up I know what I'm dealing with and can put the drops in myself without a vet consult.

Good luck with your pup and let us know how it goes!
