Straw or hay???

My daughter has a dog that has to spend a certain amount of time outdoors when she is gone, and he (Patches) has a real nice Igloo house.....I was wondering if it would be best to put straw or hay in it to help him keep warm? I'm afraid he'll just tear up pillows, blankets, etc. He's a rescued Austrailian Stumpy tailed Cattle Dog and he likes to be naughty that way!!

If your worried about pillows and blankets getting torn and having fluff every where I'd suggest a few old towels. That way you don't have to buy fresh hay, you can wash them when they get dirty, and they are way more comfortable than hay.

You could add some straw and then maybe put some old towels over it,that way it is a comfy bed and warm.
