I'm so happy! We found out today that the local trainer is starting a new class on Saturday, and *Hopefully* Tanner will be part of it
David called her for me, and she said she uses the nothing in life is free method, with lots of positive reinforcement. and all we need is a regular collar and a leash, and a dog of course
no choke chains or harness or anything... Shes gonna call us Wed. to tell us when our class will be she has to see how many people call and then she will set up the classes, she only wants about 6 dogs in each class. which will be nice. She said they have a huge field thats all fenced in for off leash training. and they even do some agility there for confidence building, which tanner could use a bit of, this is gonna be so fun!
I'm sure i could train Tanner on my own if i really tried. but it will be so much easier to have someone to goto with any problems along the way, and being around all the other dogs will teach him to pay better attention to me while were out
