Yeah they make me itch.
Im the 1 who has to rub my hands over 5 animals and feel for those tell tale knobbly signs...
Maria pulls them out and I get to stick my hands near the thing to move the fur out the way.
Good luck anyways and good on you for caring about someone elses cat

Well, it's a dog...lol. And I have to. Some months ago they had a puppy and it died from parvo. I took it to the vet a day before he died because nobody seemed to really care about how his health was declining. I really felt bad for him. The thing that made me feel worse is that the dog wouldn't wag his tail around them when he was sick but when he would see me he would wag his tail all the time...even the night before he died. That really got to me and I yelled at my boyfriend for not paying attention to the dog eventhough it was his sister's. They never paid me back for the vet bills but I honestly dont care. I'm glad I at least made an effort to make that puppy's life a little better.

lol...it's fine. I think it's a relevant mistake since I'm always on the cat section and it's misleading to suddenly post in the dog section.

Ok...I found this: Do you think this would work? Hartz
I bought this in the meantime: Adams Flea and Tick Mist and Adams Flea off Shampoo
I had found something yesterday on the net but I can't seem to find it anymore. It's supposed to be this little device that you attach to the collar and it sends out some sound waves that are supposed to repell fleas, ticks, and mosquitos from going on the dog. It was like 30 dollars. I wasn't sure if it would work but now I can't seem to find it. I know it was either at Petco or at Petsmart.
Anybody have any experience with any of these products. I really want a spot on for her so I wont be spraying her with alcohol products every 9 days.

My boyfriend actually had the nerve to tell me not to waste a lot of money on the dog. It's ok though...it's my money and I can do what I want with it. Of course, if he doesn't want me spending money on her, he could do it himself.
On the other hand, I just want to know what would work on a not so high budget cause I'm a poor college student with no job.

I am a poor college student with no job as well! My parents have helped me with getting Trinity's stuff when she got sick. They also helped pay for her shots and spaying

corgimom will become famous soon enough
Frontline was my first thought, as well. We normally use that for Ein for fleas and ticks, but we're switching to K9 Advantix for the summer because it also has a mosquito repellant and there are TONS of them here in the summertime, especially at my boyfriend's mom's house (which we go to often).

That pup sure is lucky to have someone who cares like you do. Not many people would want to do something gross like that for a dog that wasn't theirs. You're obviously a kind and loving person.

After seeing a shepherd come in with a gunshot wound: "You know we pretty much just paid for Ein all over again." (Pats him on the head.) "I'd do it again if he needed us to."

Lesson: Remember to take time to think about what's truly important. Oh, and give your pets a hug.

We dont have that Petsmart anywhere I have ever lived but just found a site and it looks like the collars are not so expensive
http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...=1115281803480
there is also info on fleas and how to remove ticks on that site

Hope this helps.
And you are a star for taking care of your bfs doggie (got it right this time)

We actually just had a company come out and spray our entire yard for flea's and tick's and it only cost $39 dollars. Hopefully, it was at least decrease the amount of ticks in the yard. Anything at this point will help.

I was also looking into the Frontline, this is the first I've heard of Advantix. I think I'll take a look at that seeing as how we have tons of mosquitos as well!

I'm going to bathe her today in the meantime. That way she'll at least feel comfortable. She only gets a bath when I do it. I love doing it though. It would be better if she stayed still but I understand she's not use to it.
