Very excited and touched
As we all know, dogs unfortunately do not live forever. I've been telling Lucas for the longest time that when our beloved babies pass on, I'd like to get a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Lucas always responded with, "No. A Pembroke." To which I'd say, "Yes, I know. We'll always have a Pem. I want a Cardigan AND a Pembroke at the same time." And he always insisted "only Pembrokes. Pembrokes are better." Two nights ago, he tapped my arm while we were in bed, and said, "You can name the Cardigan whatever you want, but the Pembroke has to always be Ein." I said, "What if it's a girl." He said, "We won't get a girl, but if we do, it's Ein. I just can't picture life without Ein anymore. I know it won't be the same Ein, but it's the best we can do."
I was so touched. I didn't realize that he loved my Einsy so much! And of course, I'm also very excited that he has finally agreed to let me have a Cardi and a Pem at the same time! Granted, it's hopefully 10 years away, but still.

That's sweet, but why would he want to name every Pem Ein? I myself would never be able to use a beloved pets name over again. That's just me though, it just doesn't feel right to me. I can't really explain why.

I am like you,I wouldn't be able to name a pet after a beloved pet I had before...but I guess some ppl like it that way,for memories.

But not only did Lucas let me pick out the dog that I wanted, but he paid for him, so when he said he wanted to name him Ein, I couldn't really argue.
