I watched tonights round. None of my "pics" got in there, but when do they ever? IMO the Bernese Mtn.Dog should win the whole thing!.LOL! Or the pug or maybe the Rotty or Mastiff or even the Foxhound

It is on tonight at 8pm Eastern Standard Time on the USA Network. I watch the end of it this afternoon (they replayed the night before). How come all the little fuzzy dogs ALWAYS win! I would just once like to see a big ole short to medium hair dog - WITH A NATURAL COAT - win!

Tonight is the last 3 groups and Best in show. No offence to bijon owners but I am so happy that their will not be one in this BOS (he took 2nd) The bijon's usually always win.

I agree! Last years was oK with a spaniel. But I want a big ol' lug of a dog to win! I mean would it kill them to stick a Berner, St.Bernard, Newfy, Pyrenese, Malamute, Rotty, Mastiff or whatever take it all? The big dogs NEVER win. IMO shows are rigged by whatever the judge prefers, not supposed to be but IMO it is. *sigh* Puggers deserve a win to. There was a "dog" on last night and I swear it looked like a sheep that had been partially shaved.LOL! And then one that had all of its natural hair except they shaved its butt. How ingenious some of those cuts are.LOL

I was in showing for years with shetland sheepdogs and recently, thought of showing my fem shep, only to be told no matter how good she is would not matter in the ring as she is "german stock" and that is not the in look. This girl has two world champ in her lineage and except for a couple of the dogs has a ton of schutzhund I, II and III titles in her background also.
But because she does not have the extreme angles of the American bred shepherd ,she does not have the look(she also does not have the hip problems lol). It is very political. I was even told this in the ring, as it turns out i decided not show her because she has what they call a gay tail, which would have made it all the harder to get her title.

Yep I've showed dogs for years. Mostly foxhounds(English), the judges liked them since they actually went on a hunt and ran with horses. Then I showed my female pug (Ching) for about 5 years, she was retired about 2 years ago. Showed our Mastiff(Goober) a few times. Showed our Berner(Max) 2or3 times, he did well got a best of breed once. But I kind of got fed up with the way things were. Win a few shows and get closer to the "nitch" and find out some dirty little secrets. Havent showed any of our dogs or cats since, and really never plan to.LOL

And of course the fuzzy little min poodle won! Okay so it was a pretty dog but with all that primping how could it not be. I was routing for the Rhodesian Ridgeback all the way!

Me to! Rodesians are awesome dogs! Or atleast the Corgi...they are cool, or even the Britney. IMO anything would have been better than a pup with its butt shaved for "fashion".

I agree....the fuzzy, "prissy" dogs always seem to win. When is a hunting dog or BIG dog going to win. What BS!!!!

WOW! Those are my thoughts EXACTLY! I mean a crapola of dogs actually work in our society......most of them are larger more "dog like" breeds......and in an all breed show they get crap. Only way to show dogs IMO is with their own breed.
