Woohoo I'm a proud mom

Kodiak's first time pulling. He really surprised me, he is a such a natural. This is his 2nd time in a harness (I don't have one for him, gotta get one) and first time out. So I will begin training him and conditioning him for it. If he will start when it's time to pull I think he will do very good and also build up strength/muscle so he doesn't tire out. He ran out of time pulling 2,790lbs but I still let him finish it and gave him lots of praise. He did get a 1st place so I'm very happy though I don't feel like he accomplished much. He came in at 58lbs so I will try to work him, get him to a conditioned weight and good training to hopefully take some better prizes. I think with work and training he should be able to do much more.

Wow! I never realized how strong a dog could be. That is a lot of weight! He should be very proud and so should you.

Yes he made good of his down time in between pulls.

We skipped one also and let him rest it out.

Yes dogs can be very strong. He did not pull much but with work he should be able to pull more. Some of the dogs their could really pull a lot, especially in comparison to their smaller size.

I have snakes too how cool. I love staffy bulls, they are such great little dogs too. I know some very good pullers with Staffy in the line, it cross well with my main line. I hope to see some more of those little pulling monsters in the future.

Wow that's strong.

Now out of curiosity is this a sport?? Could you maybe explain it a little. I've seen pictures of dogs doing this before and I've always been curious.

Yes it is a dog sport where the dog pulls the weight behind them. There is a time limit and you figure how much they pull by % of body weight.

I have had a look at your pics on your site and you truly have some beautiful dogs it just makes me miss mine even more though.... My Stan looked a little like your pic he was black white and brindle ,, they do have this bad reputation which i think is totally unfounded its the way you bring them up dont you think , if you treat them badly they will behave badly . But like i say you do have a impressive collection of lovely looking dogs......
