Just thought I would update a little on Zoe.
The week before Thanksgiving she graduated from her beginners puppy school @ Pet Smart. From that class she learned stay (while i walk all the way around her), come from a short distance, bang (lays on her side.), she can roll over from that if i use a treat, and she can high-5 and wave. she learned leave it and get it from the hand and on the ground which she kind of knew already. and i got her to leave the treat while it is sitting on her paw. we also worked on loose leash walking and leave it while on the walk which she is getting better, but she is a beagle and going to follow her nose so that i dont know that she will ever be great at.
before the class she already knew sit, shake, lay down, and somewhat stay.
so last week she just started the second class. and we are working on wait. and tomorrow we are supposed to work on heal.
and Zoe has met lots of new friends, 2 of which went on to her 2nd class also, they didnt like many dogs at first, zoe was really the only one they liked so its good she is in this class with them and there is only one other dog this time. there were 8 i think in the beginners.
anyways i heard from several people that they didnt think Pet Smart training was that good, but I think it has been a great experience for Zoe and me. I think our trainer is great. and Zoe and I have both learned a lot.

How wonderful! 
It is great when owners take their dogs to obedience classes. I think every owner should do it! It really does wonders for a dog's confidence.
