Well, most of y'all know that Kim (Navywife) is moving to Italy with her hubby for a few years...and that she isn't able to take Zoey (pitt/boxer/? mix) with them. Sooooo....yup, I've got her now!!! They drove 12 hours to drop Zoey off with us. She's is such a sweet girl - listens to commands, loves to cuddle & kiss. lol 2 mins after meeting her I had no makeup left on my face!! lol

Anyway, we are hoping she will fit in good with our family. Snooper & her are having some "issues" but are getting along better now. Since Snooper & Zoey are both females and also both want lovin from mom or dad to themselves!!

We are working with them though...we actually busted Snoop & Zoey cuddling last night. Too funny. And they both love to run in the field.

And poor Tito...lol...he's so tiny and Zoey has so much energy right now...Tito is scared of his own shadow...but on Sunday night we busted Tito & Zoey playing together in the laundry room.

Anyone have any suggestions or "tricks" to help them (Snooper & Zoey) get along? I know that Zoey also needs time to get to know her new surroundings and family...so maybe that's all it will take.

And not to brag too much...but Zoey is SMART! She listens so well!! I'm really impressed with how well she's doing listening to us & coming when we call her or tell her to sit, lay, etc.

AWWWWW!!!! I'm so glad Zoey found a great home with you. I'm sure NavyWife feels so much better knowing that Zoey has a great home and will be well taken care of.

That is fantastic news! I think that made my whole day knowing that Zoey went to an excellent home . I am sure it will also put Kim's mind to rest to know she is well taken care of. I am really happy for the both of you.

That is great! It has to be a huge relief to Kim, and a great addition to your family! Was it nice meeting her or was she eveil and mean like she is online? (Just kidding)

thanks capn, hehehe .... Jodi I am so glad things are looking up as far as them getting along, that is a big change compared to the first few hours they met, that is for sure..... I am very glad that Zoey is listening well to you and hubby, we definitely had our hard times with her, when we first adopted her from the shelter she had NO social skills or traning what so ever, so in the 6 months of being a part of our family she sure has come along way. Things sound like they are going well, and it is a matter of time before they either become the best of friends or learn to respect eachother enough to stay out of eachother's way, animals are funny like that. I know Zoey is in good hands and I know over time she will realize that there are others in that house that require mom and dad's attention too, lol..... But she is definitely a jealous one that is for sure, I remember when hubby or I would be loving on one of our other 2 dogs, low and behold here would come Zoey just butting them out of the way to get the attention. I do mean butting, she would swing her butt in their face and just push push push, I am so happy she is in a great home..... Yes it was a tiring trip to do in a 24 hour period, but Jodi it is well worth it to know she is with you both Thanks Again.
P.S. It was so great meeting you, and I look foward to another visit in the fall when we go to see the hubby's parents before leaving for Italy.

Aww, thanks Kim. It was nice meeting y'all too. I'm glad we were able to take Zoey. LOL Capn !!

Zoey will be loved and well cared for. As is true with most everyone on PT, our dogs (and other furry & feathered kids) are our kids. They are not just dogs - they are part of our family.

Last night Zoey & I fell asleep in front of the TV waiting for Kenny to come home...when I woke up Zoey had her arm (front leg) around me and her head on my shoulder! Omg, it was so sweet. Oh yeah, and she was snoring in my ear. LOL

Aweeeeeeeeeeeee and I forgot to mention Zoey is a snorer lol that is so sweet how she slept with you like that though, that is how she used to sleep with the Hubby, I am glad she is making herself right at home
