Baby Frances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guys...I've got a hurricane right around the corner.... I had a hurricane three weeks ago.... and NOW!!!!!
WOWZERS!!!!!
This lil egg was dropped in the water...sadly I don't know how long ago outside of the fact that it wasn't there a couple of hours ago...so I'm really not sure how viable it is. It's a baby three stripped mud egg and mommy was right in front of it when it was noticed so I THINK maybe it wasn't there that long ago.
I wont have power soon and I don't know how long it'll be w/o power but I'll try to keep her warm.... JIC...
There should be two eggs...so I dunno if we have another one coming soon.... maybe they'll be Charley and Frances if we get real lucky and they hatch.
Ok..I've gotta get back to dealing with the coming storm but I also HAD TO STOP BY AND SHARE THE NEWS because I know folks like you would understand how special this lil egg is
I can't believe I need a series of hurricanes to get my turtles in gear!!!!
Pray for the egg.... I think Baby Frances is struggling against all odds but if she could hatch...how special would that be

CHARLEY WAS JUST LAID!!!!
This old lady sure did take a long time to drop these eggs but the last of the two we were waiting on arrived today
Mom is now much more comfortable I think lol
She did drop the second one in the water as well though
They are incubating together and all we can do now is hope and pray.
It would mean soooooooooooooo much if this dynamic duo would thrive... The mom has had a difficult life and bares some pretty horrendous scares to prove it. There was a while when we first brought her home that we weren't even sure if she'd be able to survive having this pair of eggs within her but she pulled through and she's strong as ever. I can only hope her lil'ones have even a third of the strength their mom has.
I believe it usually takes from three to five months for a hatch so it's going to seem like forever...but we'll wait it out and see what happens

Congrats on the new eggs! Hope the young ones are alive and well inside the shell, and grow and develop well within. I can't wait to see pics of them once they've hatched! But I will be patient...for 3-5 months anway!
