Question

Juvenile marginated tortoises

I have recently purchased two juvenile marginated tortoises, one seems too be fine but the other seems to be slightly withdrawn (this tortoise is slightly younger) and although she comes out after a bath most of the day she sleeps, is this normal?

Chelonians (most species) generally are only active in the mornings and evenings. Still, it may just be taking her more time to adjust. I'd give it a week or two in your care and, then, if you are still concerned consult a herp vet.

I know this might be a little off topic...but every time I read the title of this thread, I read it as "marinated" instead of "marginated" I have do a double take every time!
