My turtle seems depressed

I dont know what is wrong with my turtle. She seems really depressed. I've had her for a little over a month and am using a UVB light bulb (the blue one recommended), two types of turtle food (for variation), and a calcium block. She has a basking area (which she never climbs onto that I notice). She just kind of sits at the bottom of the tank and moaps. I clean her water regularly and have a duetto filter. I don't know what else to do for her. Do turtles get bored? She is a leaf turtle and the store thinks she is anywhere from 1-3 years old. She's really sweet and I don't want her to be sad

Okay here goes She has a blue 60 watt light bulb (have no idea what brand but the only brand the store sells) and she gets 10-12 hours of it a day. I bought her at Pets and Aquatic Warehouse in their reptile section. The guy I bought her from seemed pretty knowledgable about her because he said he owned 4 turtles. I keep the water about 75-80 degrees. I feed her a mixture of Reptomin Tetra Floating Food Sticks, and Zoo Med's Aquatic Tutle Food. She also gets some feeder shrimp as a treat once and a while (not too many though dont want an obese turtle). No I haven't seen a vet yet because no one in my area seems to know how to treat an aquatic turtle.

Sadness and boredom are higher level animal emotions which turtles do not have. By nature, turtles are slower moving but if too slow, are a danger sign. Water turtles are much more active than land ones.

The inactive state that yours is showing may reflect either an environmental problem, dietary deficiency or physical ailment.

Common environmental problems come from improper moisture, temperature or poor sanitation. UVB is less critical than IR light. Lethargy most often results from inadaquate heat.

Talking

Well ever since I've started playing with her more she seems happy. We let her out for a run every day and she can really zoom across the room. She takes treats from me now and when I come home she gets excited and starts jumping at the side of her tank. It's really cute. I never thought I'd get this attached to a turtle, but Lola really does have personality!

Habitat?

Since she perks up outside her habitat, maybe this is the problem. It could be too small, too wet or dry, or cold.

Environmental Requirements

I appreciate your advice and stand corrected. This shows that all that is digital is not golden. Would you suggest where valid information may be obtained.
