Turtle Breed

Hello


Are all turtles carnivors? My neighbor has a Coy/frog pond in his back yard and was thinking about adding a turtle of some sort to it. What is a good breed of turtle for a beginner and an environment ranging from 40 F(winter) to 90 F(summer). Any good links to a web site on their diet and care will also help alot.
