Bad Day

well today was not a fun day in my book. I woke up all happy and ready to roll. Then i went to feed my toads and fishies. Upon doing so i noticed the moss on the land was soping wet. I lifted up the moss and found to my dismay 3 inches of water, the divider had failed. So i spent the next few hours cleaning the tank and gravel. Next i noticed a large crack forming on the bottom of the tank. Ok all things then came to a full tilt stop.

I packed up the tank and took it back to petsmart where i purchased it. Returning home every triumphantly with a brand new All Living Things Cool Rainforest Reptile/Amphibian Kit.

To keep the crack from happening again im gonna get a piece of plywood to support the bottom and also got an idea or two for making some sort of land in the tank.

Sorry you had such an experience, but glad that you were able to get a replacement tank. I hope that your reinforcements work.

i had used silicone caulk and not silicone aquarium sealant. I guess the caulk just cant stand up to being submerged. Im not going to divide the land and water again i had a neat idea to use a tupperware container painted black with nontoxic paint of course for the land.
Any other ideas?

Sounds good ... I would stick to the aquarium sealant this time ... it should hold better.
