I'd go with the Gecko. I've kept White's Tree Frogs, and native Hyla sp.
Amphibians require a greater attention to their environment and are more problematic to handle. In order to keep from damaging their sensitive skin and the mucous on it, you need to make sure your hands are clean ...and wet before handling them. They are still at risk of skin infections from too much handling.
From what you've said in your gecko thread about what your are looking for, I'd stick with the Leopards.
That's not to say treefrogs aren't cool, I just don't think they're what your're looking for. Just my opinion.
