Exotic Ban in Abbotsford

Hye guys me and possummonca are starting a petition and would like some imput on what should be covered in it. so far we have


Petition to Protect our Right to Keep Exotic Pets

I am a pet owner or animal guardian, and I am extremely concerned about the current bylaw being considered in Abbotsford. I believe that exotic pet owners would agree that the adverse effects this would create would have to be dire to necessitate this drastic action.

I as an owner my concerns center on the non-life threatening species of exotic pets such as;
-Chinchillas
-Sugar Gliders
-Arachnids (Spiders)
-Non-poisonous reptiles
-Non-poisonous amphibians
-And all other Non-threatening Exotics
All of these animals that will no doubt be caught in the crossfire of such a bylaw. All of these animals pose no threat to anyone and should not be outlawed in urban areas under these circumstances.

That sounds good Toirtis, so for the meetings would I or should I be there when I live in a surrounding area ie Mission is about 20mins from Abby. I have never done anything like this, never been to one of these public meeting, haven't got a clue how they work lol. But what I do know is Mission population 33000 follows almost everything that Abby does in the way of bylaws and regulations. I am in dire need of your expertise. I do not have a mass amount of friends out here as we moved out here recently to buy our home. So I am grateful for any and all advice that you are giving.

OK, I am able to do that but how the heck do I find out where and when the council meetings to do with this subject are. Can I just call someone or what. TY again.

Are you coming toirtis?? I will hjave to find out if I can go in the next couple of weeks, if I can it will be last minute, as I will be working, but If my shift changes (Which I am hoping for,) then I will be on AM shift which means I can come....
