There an animal circus coming here in June.

A few years ago an animal circus came here and investigators found out there was alot of abuse going on behind the scenes and it was on the news and everything.The government decided to ban animal circuses from Newfoundland.

Well turns out,they decided to allow them again and see how it goes...

The SPCA is getting involved and whatnot now.It angers me tho,because they declared years ago that circuses with animals were not allowed and now they are changing their minds.

Yeah...see? The government is stupid,they "banned" animal circuses,but un-banned them to bring money in.

I haven't heard any recent news on the matter,but as far as I know the animal circus (dunno it's name) is coming June.I do not think it is going to be in the city,they only mentioned Gander and a few places out that way.

maybe it's like marineland in the 80's where they almost got shut down for good. they're given a set amount of time to reach the proper standards, and if met, they're allowed to continue on their retail route *cringes* i know, the rules are there but some people are so desperate for a buck.

Ughh, I hate animal circuses. My first protest was for a Shiner's circus. While I respect their cause (they were raising money for a children's hospital, I think), I think it's completely unacceptable that way they were going about it. They had a panther in a friggin disco ball!

I love Gander,so a road trip out that way to protest would be good.I refuse to use any posters with PETA on them tho!

Yeah already heard about it.Wrote an article that'll hopefully be in the paper.
Last time people were to an animal circus right after the show the trainers beat the sh*t out of the animals& kicked them.
It HAS to be stopped.

I'd recommend starting to write like crazy,call into the radio show there in the city.A lot of people don't pay attention to protesters once they drive there& has the ticket bought.St.John's has a lot of resources to reach people.You can change minds NOW instead of waiting till the circus is THERE.Maybe the circus will be banned again.
Not saying protesting won't help,but you can educate people long before it gets here. Just a tip.Not sure if it's coming out closer to me or not.I probably won't be around then if it does.But you's have a radio show that people call into & voice their opinions.Great opportunity no?

BTW this was circling around on the internet a few months ago.
Oh& a short article,& according to a lot of people I know,the SPCA does want to prevent it,so seriously just start writing& voicing your opinions now.Stop it before it comes.
