Kitten dumper to spend cold night in woods
Woman should feel what abandoned animals experienced, judge says

An Ohio woman will spend the night outside for dumping 33 kittens in the woods. The overnight temperature in the area tonight is expected to dip into the 20s.

Michelle Murray, a former animal rescuer, will have no food or shelter but will have water and a way to communicate with park rangers in case of and emergency.

Judge Michael Cicconetti said he wanted Murray to feel what the kittens experienced.

The 25-year-old was convicted last month of animal cruelty and also faces a 15-day jail sentence.

The animals were recovered but many had upper respiratory infections, and nine died.

That ought to teach her better than to do something horrible like that! Although I think she should spend 30-60 days in jail instead of 15.

I still say Way to Go Judge!
I mean I've never heard of them making the person live the way the animal had to, and I think that's great. They should do it more often!

I agree Serpentala, 30-60 days would definetly set her straight!

that's a great sentence! i've never heard of any punishment like that. It's sad that she was a former animal rescuer though. Shouldn't she have known better? Even though I agree that she should have been sentenced to a longer sentence, those 15 days will be pretty bad. If there's one thing that even the most hardened prisoners don't like it's animal abusers and child molesters/abusers. Those will be the longest 15 days of her life!

You know what the funny thing is though?

I saw this earlier and watched a video on what she had to say. She claimed she had to move and it was either the cats or her kids, and she said that the cats could fend for themselves. WTF?? I'm sorry, but don't take in the pets if you can't afford to have them and then say she has to move on top of it? Someone is a big liar here.

I hope she was freakin' cold. I think she should have spent WAY more time out there than a day, plus more jail time.

JMO though.
