Malnourished horse - Paw Talk

A stable named Almost Heaven Stables in Highlands Texas takes in abandoned horses and treats them like this

not only is he very malnourished the vets are suprised by his ability to walk. They actually make a profit off of him and others. I am so outraged.

My mom was at an auction to get a donkey and instead she brought this amazing horse who she named Dusty to fatten him up and give him the life and love he deserves. When he gets better I will post recovery pictures.

But at least my mom was able to save him and give him the love and nutrition he needs.

just don't feed him too much at first and limit his water. i wanted to rescue one when i was younger and they ended up killing it by feeding it too much that it ate too much bloated and died

but his nutrition is comming from a vets orders-and that's my mom's thing, so hopefully all will go well with the horse I will keep ya'll posted.

I think I might have my mom make a petition against where he came from.

So sad. I get a lot of horses in that look that way. I just can't understand how someone can look at an animal everyday (that looks that way) and not feel guilty about causing it.

Thats such an outrage.That poor horse.At least he has you guys!! But the place he came from needs to be shut down.Did you report them?

Yeah, you or your mom should report them, especially since she has vet records to show how bad off he was. They're treating animals like crap and then people are buying them, so they're making a profit, and probably won't stop unless something happens to stop them.

Good luck to the horse - he's lucky to have found a good new home.

That just makes me sick.

That poor horse looks like he's a couple days away from dying. It's amazing he even has the energy to stand. Please keep us updated on his progress.

the horse would have died in about a week or so if left in those conditions.

I don't know how someone could stand to do that to an inocent animal.

Some people are just stupid and don't realize that animals have feelings just like us.
