NJ Horse Breeder Charged with Animal Neglect

If he has financial troubles, how does the court think he is going to pay his hefty fines.....He couldn't even take care of these beautiful horses, and that makes me so that all he got was fines.

N.J. Horse Breeder Charged With Animal Neglect
May 21, 2004 — A New Jersey horse breeder has been fined and ordered to forfeit all 47 of his horses to the SPCA.

A judge found 52-year old Joseph Stuebing of Franklin Township, guilty of neglecting the animals.

Stuebing admited at his trial that some of his horses were thin, but said financial troubles forced him to use cheaper feed.

He was put on two years probation, fined 10 thousand dollars and ordered to pay 61 thousand dollars in restitution fees to the SPCA.

All I can say is WOW!!! if he was having such financial trouble, then what was he thinking when he decided to get into breeding horses? <shaking head>

He neglected them....but it didnt' say how. He was ordered to forfeit all 47 horses to the SPCA and pay his fines.
