PETA Cracked by Penn and Teller

If anyone gets the chance to watch the PETA episode from Penn and Teller's Bullsh*t on Showtime...please do. If you had any doubts that PETA is a bunch of extremist hypocrites...this will help clear you up! They have proof PETA dontates to terrorist groups and as they say in the preview on their site, it's enough to make any vegatarion WANT to eat meat! (not trying to change anyone's culinary views here, but after watching it, I did want to go get a big juicy steak just to spite PETA)
You'll find some info here http://www.sho.com/site/ptbs/topics.do?topic=peta

We downloaded it and watched it (along with three of their other BS episodes).

My main wish is that I wouldn't have watched it with the kids. I knew there would be language but it was a bit more than I was really planning on.....

Honestly, I enjoyed the other three episodes more than the PETA episode...go figure. The PETA episode had a ton of good points but it was put together so "one sidedly" that it felt "over the top" and "unbelievable" which of course describes PETA but would make it difficult to give a show about PETA a perfect 10

I believe it was from 2nd Season...I saw it On Demand Showtime Series so I have no idea when they'll show that episode again. I'll keep an eye out for it though

prosewolf is on a distinguished road
hello everyone.
listen.. i don't mean to barge in or interrupt. i really have no right to be on this site (although i'm a cat lover), but i felt that i should share some knowledge.

i was watching Penn & Teller last night, and i was right into the PETA episode, when the final few minutes were cut off (at the part about why the PETA bought the freezers). i went looking for information about it, and found this site, and your questions about the show.

Penn & Teller's show can be seen daily, consistently, on Winamp 5.0. download Winamp 5.0, and under the Media Library selection, there's a cool thing called "Internet TV".
the P&T:B show can be seen by entering "SWCTV" into the search field on the Internet TV portion, and clicking on "channels" SWCTV251 or SWCTV252.
the episodes, at half an hour in length, are shown 24 hours a day, 7 days a week... the odds of the PETA episode appearing are quite frequent.
also, i have hi-speed, so maybe dial-up users can't use the program. i can't vouch that all computers will be able to see the show.

also, to andreaS15, if you type into google:: sho ptbs peta ::and click on Cached, you can view any site that's been recorded into their database.
such as this: http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache...tbs+peta&hl=en

that's it.
that's all.
i have no other reason to be here than to give you all that knowledge.
i don't want to rock any boats or incur any flames. i don't even own any pets.
^_^
enjoy, and have good lives.

Mandie, you have every right to have an opinion about Peta, but I have to say that I find your statement to be offensive. Being a vegetarian has nothing to do with Peta. It bothers me that you would say that you want to eat a steak to spite them. Like I said, you have every right to have an opinion but I still find what you said to be offensive.

I'm vegetarian because I don't want to eat animals and participate in cruel factory farming. The fact that one A.R. group might be dishonest doesn't make a vegetarian want to eat animals.

I, too, am a vegetarian and her comment did not offend me in the least. I thought it was amusing.

Steph,
I'm sorry I offended you...I was a vegetarian for 2 years several years ago for the reasons of not wanting to eat animals and participating in the profits of the inhumane slaughter houses. But rib night at a friend's house cracked me and I couldn't resist...I've been a meat eater ever since. The comment I made was not to offend or actually eat a steak just to spite PETA, but the facts that were presented about the organization killing animals themselves because they didn't have anywhere to put all the ones they "saved" just really ticked me off...as well as the facts that were presented that clearly linked PETA to terrorist organizations. The facts showed how very hypocritical many of the people are especially the President and VP, just made me feel like doing the opposite of what they wanted and since I'm not about to physically hurt an animal or anything like that, a steak just made sense...it wasn't ment to offend anyone, just an expression of outrage against PETA's hypocrisy.
I do apologize to anyone that was offended.

No prob...I can see how (without knowing my line of thinking when I wrote it) it could offend any vegetarian or animal lover...That's why I explained.
