I have rabbits and for a couple of years I gave them plum branches to chew on, having not read that it is a toxic wood. My rabbits had no signs of being ill. I think it is possible that my rabbits could have gotten some good benefit from what is believed to be a toxic wood. It turns out that plum wood contains trace amounts of cyanide, and in humans, trace amounts as found in almonds can help the digestive system. Once plum wood is dried, the cyanide dissipates.

To prove that peach wood is harmful, I think it would take more than a belief, but some actual experiments. Beliefs can be wrong.

Yeah, but what true animal lover wants to risk their pets life? By doing experiments like that,it may prove good...but it may also prove very, very wrong.I wouldn't wanna risk it.

I don't want to risk my pet's lives either, that is why I quit using plum wood. If peach wood is truly dangerous, there should be some documented cases of animals getting sick from peach wood or some necropsy reports. If no vet can produce that, then there really is no evidence, just opinions.
