Save The Dolphins!!

Alright everyone I know I haven't been on here much lately but I am asking everyone to help me out!

I recently watched Hayden Panettiere (Claire from Heroes) on the Ellen show. All they were talking about was Hayden's recent trip to Japan to help save the dolphins. They showed a clip of Hayden and her friends on surf boards, paddling out into blood red water to help save dolphins from being massacred by the Japanese.

Here is what you can do:

1. Write the Japanese Prime Minister, Yasuo Fukuda, and tell him you will not purchase any Japanese products or visit Japan until they stop killing and capturing dolphins and whales or Click here to "Compose and send your message" directly to the Japanese Prime minister Yasuo Fukuda

2. Do not participate in any captive swim-with dolphin programs.

3. Do not support or visit any marine park, zoo, or amusement park that has captive dolphins and whales.

I get regular updates from International Fund for Animal Welfare and Japanese whaling is a serious issue with them. I certainly hope something can be done to stop it.

I like to think that most captive dolphins and whales are well cared for and happy (I'm sure there are exceptions). I took part in a dolphin encounter while in the Bahamas, and believe me, once you meet one of these gorgeous creatures up close - you're never the same. I completely agree with Steve Irwin who always said that people will want to save what they love. I've always felt strongly about whales and dolphins as a direct result of seeing them at Sea World when I was a little girl, and that day being up close and personal with a dolphin only made it stronger.
Do I like the idea of captive wild animals? No. But I think they serve as ambassadors - and give people who aren't quite the avid lovers of wildlife that we are that nudge that they need, so that they'll want to save them too.

I also agree with that, that's just what the website said to do. I posted it so that people can make their own decisions.

I am not a fan of Japan anyway.
I hope something can be done to help these whales and dolphins.
