starting a horse rescue

My mom turned the Almost Heavben Horse rescue and pretty soon there'll be a lot of adandoned horses so she wants to start her own non profit horse rescue. There's one problem though we don't know where to start on builing a bigger barn and getting money to fund the vet bills and the creation of a bigger barn. Shes not trying to make money there are alot of rescues shutting their doors and there is a high chance of an explosion of horses in need esp. since the horse slaughtering has been banned. there has already been reports of abused horses in her area. Any ideas on how to raise money to fund this project will be greatly appreachiated.

There are all kinds of ways to raise money.Things like bake sales and flea markets will raise money.Car washes too.You could contact the fundraising places too and get tickets or chocolates to sell (no,skool's are not the only places that do these things).Even have a donation box set up somewhere with the name of your rescue on it and mention you need donations to build a bigger barn. There is alot you can do to raise money and every little bit adds up and helps!

The rescues I am with,Beagle Paws and Greyhound Pets of Atlantic Canada do these things and trust me,people love to help rescues.

Thumbs up

Although there are many horse rescue agencies, the fact is that they do not initiate to meet the needs of the huge number of unwanted horses. We have to find a solution for this...
