I wasn't saying you were bad for feeding them commercial food, don't be so defensive! Jeez! I already said I know several people who feed commercial and have no problems and I am not saying because it is cheap, because it is not.NOT all commercial food is cheap.

I've heard from a few people that cat food can rot dogs teeth afterr awhile of eating it.

i do concur with bob. i am against the cruel inhumane animal testing done by the beauty industry. however...just like humans, we test certain things on the user (albeit pets) to see if it's going to work or be helpful. it's important to not let your fear of something being harmful, stop you from seeing that it's helpful.

3 jobs? Wow! Where do you work? and how do you find time to yourself and your pets? Sounds like you have a super busy life! Also, with that many hours spent at your jobs, how do you find time to post on here?

For one I don't post here much because people snap my beeping head off I don't know what is wrong with this place.
Jeez @ you too Lisa reading too much into stuff.Stop beeping snapping back at me,FFS!
I'm currently working in a town 2 hours away @ a fish plant where I make boxes I alternate jobs as a shift worker. But basically there& when not there I do work at an asian restaurant& I'm on a town project.
But right now since the plant soon be closed till Fall thats where I spend a lot of time, except my days "off" goes to the other jobs (so I don't get days off anymore technically, its hours off,& thats split between pets& sleep.)
& I work 10 hours.
Which is crappy.
But meh.
Myself is not important, don't give a rats...butt about myself,so all my spare time is spent with my pets.

Well I wouldn't read too much into your posts if you phrased them better and didn't try and direct things towards me.Because thats what it looks like your doing and not just in this thread.
Now I am not going to argue in this forum for the sake of other people,so if you have a problem with me...take it up with me somewhere else! Cause I just aint putting up with it.

I can agree with the point the OP was trying to make...
Although every food at one point in some way has ingredients that were tested on animals, we can make knowledgeable choices to choose a quality diet with top ingredients, rather than lower quality diets.
Generally, companies that are more concerned with purchasing humane, quality goods will also produce a better product, and there are many "super premium" foods on the market that offer the best of both worlds.

I'm sick of telling you if I have problems with people I tell it to them directly.
So just go on your merry little life now& you can be the one to tell dawna that I lashed out at her because you told me that she said that stuff when in reality you put it on myspace& thats where she read it.
I'm done with the lot of you.
Thanks.

Thats all I have to say to you now.

After the pet scare I know a lot of people switched over to feeding a raw diet. It has worked out very well for them but its expensive. It costs a lot of money to buy fresh meat and different types of meats that would make a good diet for a dog. (or cat for that matter)

My cat eats Hill's Science Diet. (It isn't one of the recalled brands although some of Hill's canned foods were recalled.)
All of my animals are fairly old so I try to do the best I can for them.

I looked into making my own cat food and still looking at different recipes online which my kitties will eat. Is it weird that my cats like pork fried rice?
