Coroplast Question for crzy4piggers

I was closely reading cavycages.com. I do need bigger habitats.

I am puzzled by the coroplast issue for a habitat bottom. Why do I need this when I can find a thick heavy plastic utility bin of similar size at a hardware store?? I can then put the cube grids tight around it.

Finding and getting coroplast can be so difficult as to be prohibitive.

Just an update. . .

Sam and Leslie are two of my very favorite pets, in part as they were born here and are very tame, and they are so pretty. I'm sure they have been happier and healthier with twice as much room, which they outgrew quickly.

Playing with them has a very real healthful effect on me as it relaxes me dramatically and lowers my blood pressure, so much so after awhile I start yawning. And so do they!

Oh, and it was not hard to clean. Just scoop up the old bedding into a bucket, clean with whatever, put in new bedding. They sit and watch me from the easy chair - and they almost never poo or pee! Even when out for half an hour. bery impressive of them. :)
